peace, love and little donuts

my friend justine and i were meaning to catch up for some time and we decided to go to a new place in oakland called peace, love and little donuts. its really small and theres no place to sit inside, but these donuts are amazing! they are all just regular donuts but you can add so many different toppings on them. i got blueberry cheesecake, chocolate covered pretzel, cookies and cream, and samoa (chocolate, caramel, and toasted coconut -- like the girl scout cookie!).  they are amazing and i got all four for 5 bucks!

nikes on my feet

my new glitter blazers! i was so excited when i found these in my size on ebay. i bought them immediately. they are a tiny bit snug in the front but it'll stretch out.
the first time i wore them i went into a convenient store and this ghetto chick told me "your blazers is cute." thanks, m'am!
last night, we had cinema in the park at the local park right outside of campus. i'll try and get pictures next time if i go again. it was amazing -- they set up a huge screen on the side of a hill and there was the backdrop of oakland (part of pittsbugh where Pitt's campus is) and its lit-up city. they played inception and i totally forgot how good that movie is. it was a really cool night and can't wait to go to the next one.

camp bisco x

dreams really do come true!
i just bought my ticket to camp bisco x! its a huge music festival in new york that hosts the disco biscuits as headliners every night. i cannot wait to camp out with my friends from school because it is most likely gonna be the last time i see all of them before i study abroad next year.  the lineup up is insane. hooping will be abundant while fading away to some great live music. july 7th can't get here soon enough

cinnaberry

i just dyed my hair again for summer. i guess its pretty dark now but it should fade. it has a brilliant tint of red to it in certain light. i like it for now!

incense and leather

mmmmm. handmade paper.
ok so in the southside of pittsburgh is a great little shop called the culture shop. it has various items of hippie clothing and bags, plus the smell of incense takes over your senses as soon as you walk in the door. i went yesterday to pick up this gorgeous leather-bound journal. my macro lens picked up the great detailed stamp work that went into it. i love it!

classic

my friend allie lent me the classic picture of dorian grey.  i can't put it down. i'm almost finished and it is just so interesting.  the character of harry gives the most arrogant views of life that i can't help but find entertaining.  i definitely suggest it!

creations

i love making cut-offs! so the other day my friend lizah and i got some bleach and dye and went at it! this first pair in the second photo were actually really ugly mom shorts that i got from - you guessed it- my mother. i cut them off and then bleached only one half.  the fabric looks almost peachy instead of white- they look really cool
the second pair are just diy distressed levis, but i studded them all on the back.  you can pick studs up from cheap at studsandspikes.com. i think i actually spent more on shipping then on the studs themselves!
the last one is a pair of old wranglers that i cut, distressed and bleached.  i really like what they looked like right after i bleached them, but i decided to go with dying them anyway.  i was trying to go for a purple to orange ombre but it turned out blue to yellow. oh well! (lets go pitt)

rose gold

it finally came! i ordered this akribos XXIV watch about two weeks ago from hautelook.com.  i swear i checked the tracking number about 20 times a day. i was so pleasantly surprised at how more beautiful it was in person! the rose gold is my favorite. it doesn't have a battery so i have to self-wind it from time to time, but i hear that's what you have to do with real watches anyway so i don't mind.
